Virtual Music FAQs
Virtual Dance Information
What devices and programs are needed?
PSMD uses Zoom to livestream classes and interact with our students. Zoom is a free video-conferencing program that is compatible with nearly all camera built-in laptop & desktop computers, tablets, and smart phones. Due to COVID-19, most students are already familiar with the program.

When can I register for music lessons?
You can register year round for virtual music lessons or at our Charlotte school location.
Can my child switch from virtual to live lessons later on?
Absolutely! Feel free to call the office at any time to make the switch!
What if my child misses a virtual lesson?
One make-up lesson may be scheduled per semester, dependent upon teacher availability. Families have until 8:00pm the evening before the regularly scheduled lesson to notify studio administrators about setting up a make-up.
How does virtual learning compare to in-studio?
Heading into the unique times 2020 has brought, we were unsure how our transition to virtual learning would go. However, after working out a few kinks and consistantly researching ways to create the best experience possible, we have learned that virtual music lessons have benefited our students as much, if not more, than in-person lessons. Our team continuously tweaks our curriculum to fit our students' needs.
Is their technical support?
Of course! PSMD's administrative staff will be on call during virtual class hours.
