Mommy & Me

Mommy & Me | Ages 2- 3

Mommy & Me is a 30 minute class structured to stimulate creative movement, listening skills, coordination and gross motor development for our youngest dancers ages 2 to 3. This program is an excellent introduction to the world of dance fun for Mom and dancer! Mommy & Me classes do not participate in the recital.

Ages 3-6

Mila Ballerina® Ballet/Tap | Ages 3 & 4

Our exclusive Mila Ballerina™ Ballet/Tap class is a 45 – minute class comprised of ballet, tap and creative movement. In this class, your child will learn balance, grace and coordination. Through creative and fun ballet and tap exercises, students will be able to memorize dance moves and sequences, as well as learn basic vocabulary, which will prepare them for classes taken in years to come. The incorporation of fun, age appropriate music and props, such as hula-hoops and maracas, provides a splash of fun and creativity for our beginner dancers

Tumble | Ages 4 – 6

Tumble is a 30 minute class for ages 4 -6.  This structured class will help develop gross motor skills through gallops, marches, skips and jumps. Our tumblers will also learn forward rolls, back rolls, bridges, hand stands and cartwheels. Tumble classes will not participate in the recital.

Mila Ballerina® Ballet/Tap | Ages 5 & 6

Our exclusive Mila Ballerina™ Ballet/Tap class is a 1 – hour class comprised of ballet and tap. In this class, your child will learn balance, grace and coordination. Through creative and fun ballet and tap exercises, students will be able to memorize dance moves and sequences, as well as learn basic vocabulary, which will prepare them for classes taken in years to come.  At this level, concepts such as spatial awareness, musicality, and mind-body connection are further developed.

Hip Hop & Jazz Jr | Ages 5 & 6

This is a high energy and upbeat dance class which focuses on coordination, confidence and rhythm through exciting exercises. Your child will learn to count music, memorize dance steps, and learn fun choreography to age appropriate and popular music. Join this class to learn the latest dance moves!

Ages 7-9

Students ages 7-8 may register for the Ballet + Jazz Combo class, Tap 1 & 2 and or Hip Hop 1. 
Students ages 7-8, who are new to PSMD, are required to take at least one year of Ballet + Jazz Combo. 
Students ages 9 and older may take a single class of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary or Hip Hop.


Ballet + Jazz

This is a 1-hour and 15‰ minute combination class which includes Ballet and Jazz. In this class, your child will learn: Ballet which is the foundation of dance technique as it develops grace, strength and balance; Jazz will focus on core strength, flexibility, and technique.

Jazz is an energetic class that focuses on core strength, flexibility, and technique. It is Ballet based, so it has a lot of the same fundamentals as Ballet, but Jazz is high energy and fast paced! Your child will work on turns, leaps and will learn a number of new routines to fun songs ranging from pop to show tunes.

Contemporary
