Kristin is a graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree cum laude in Dance Performance and K-12 Dance Certification. She received most of her training from the Griffin Ballet Theatre in Georgia, under the direction of Mitch Flanders. After graduating from UGA, Kristin had the privilege to dance with the Carolina Ballet Theatre for two seasons under the direction of Hernan Justo. As a professional dancer, Kristin has performed such roles as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Clara, and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Lilac Fairy in Sleeping Beauty, Wendy in Peter Pan, and Kitri in Don Quixote. She had the honor to dance with the Columbia City Ballet in their productions of Aladdin, Lion King, and Dracula. Kristin attended summer intensives at the American Ballet Theatre, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the Governors Honors Program in 2008. Kristin has had the privilege to work with such choreographers as Chet Walker, Dwight Rhoden, and Jacques Heim. Kristin and her husband Sam are excited to be a part of the PSMD staff.
