Originally for Pennsylvania, Emily began her dance training at Cumberland Dance Company in PA. After moving to Charlotte, NC she continued her training at the Charlotte Ballet Academy. While in high school she accepted an invitation to finish her dance education at the Houston Ballet Academy. Upon graduation she received a contract to join Houston Ballet. There she was nominated by the company to compete in the prestigious Prix De Lausanne in Lausanne, Switzerland. At Houston Ballet, she was featured by world renowned choreographers including: George Balanchine, Sir Kenneth McMillan, Antony Tudor, William Forsythe, Stanton Welch, Wayne McGregor, Jiri Kylian and Nacho Duato. After retiring from the stage in July 2016 as a Soloist dancer with Houston Ballet, Emily is excited to begin teaching at Piedmont School of Music & Dance .
