Bryan Macke is a native of Indiana where began his musical studies on the viola at the age of 10. Later, as a teenager, he added violin, piano, and cello. He studied music at Indiana State University where he also received his Masters in Education. While in Indiana, he played with The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra, The Terre Haute Sinfonietta, and The Indianapolis Philharmonic.
Before moving to North Carolina, he lived in Tampa, Florida. He played with the Suncoast Symphony Orchestra, The Pinellas Park Community Orchestra, two chamber groups and freelanced as a soloist. In addition, he taught public school and also taught piano and strings privately. While in North Carolina, he plans to continue to teach privately, play in orchestras, and freelance as a soloist. He has been teaching privately for over twenty years and has taught in the public school system for sixteen years. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time at the beach, attending live music events, and spending time with family and friends.
